Myocarditis is a difficult diagnosis to make without specific dedicated imaging modalities and often eludes clinical detection. There is a need for understanding the role of CMR in diagnosing myocarditis. To close the gap outlined above, learners should be able recognize specific CMR imaging sequences needed to make a diagnosis of myocarditis and specific late gadolinium enhancement patterns in myocarditis.
